What preparation is needed before leaving for the field?

A »

If you become a field missionary with GTN, our Equipping Track consists of:

  • Six days of training and interviews at our World Headquarters, Missionary Preparation and Orientation (MPO).
  • Followed by 12 days of online fundraising training with Kingdom Come Training, www.kingdomcometraining.com, where you commence your partner building until you are funded.
  • Coupled with one week of ministry to the heart with Restoring the Foundations, www.rtfi.org, usually done in the area where you live.
  • Field internship for 10 1/2 weeks in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso; Peten, Guatemala; or Iloilo, Philippines, called our Timothy Internship Program (T.I.P.), either before or after MPO.
  • Followed by 1-2 years of field apprenticeship with veteran missionaries, living as close to the location you are called to as possible.
