Q »

How do I get started in a strange country?

A »

Go To Nations always places new missionaries with veteran missionaries as they are getting started, you will never go alone. This is done through a 1-2 year field apprenticeship where you have a time of learning the language, immersing in the Culture, helping with existing ministries; you will be learning the Culture of the country you are serving, as well as, the Culture of the missionary community. You will be growing in your leadership, while becoming comfortable with how to live, getting around the city, as well as, learning how to conduct business in a foreign country.

Usually, when a missionary arrives at a new location their first order of business is to learn the language of the people. This gives them an opportunity to begin connecting with the citizens and to learn the Culture. These are great tools for presenting the gospel.
