Q »

Aren’t a select few actually called to missions work?

A »

This is where our understanding of the intent of Scripture and the words found in the Bible brings clarity. While the call to missionary work may be selective, the call to missions is not.

A missionary needs to possess a specialized gift and skill set that will enable them to live, thrive and minister in foreign cultures. Not everyone is called to do missions work. We are not all called to GO. There are many things that need to be done locally in our own communities.

While not all are called to go, we each carry the mandate to see the world reached. You cannot be a Biblical spectator. We are all part of the same family, and the entire family carries the same mission.
